What’s the Best Hyatt All-Inclusive Resort You Can Book with Points?

If you’re traveling with kids in tow and just want to relax, all-inclusive resorts can be absolutely ideal. With all-inclusive resorts, all of your food and drink (including alcohol) is covered in your nightly rate. Entertainment is also included (although it can vary between different properties) and some all-inclusive resorts offer water sports and other activities. Amazingly, many properties also offer supervised kid’s clubs that will actually babysit your kids for a while.

While having all these amenities included in your nightly rate is a great way to save money, I also like the convenience factor. I take my kids to all-inclusive resorts all the time, and I absolutely love not having to see a bill for the entire week. We bring cash to tip people, but it’s still nice to not worry over the cost of dinner or feel nickeled and dimed the entire trip. When everything is free, it’s easier to have fun and let the stress melt away.

What’s the Best All-Inclusive Resort You Can Book with Points?

If you read this website frequently, you already know that I visit the Holiday Inn Resort in Montego Bay for spring break every year. This is a great property to book with IHG Rewards points earned through the IHG Rewards Club Select Credit Card, but you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to the program from a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred.

While the Holiday Inn in Jamaica is a property my kid’s love, it is not high-end by any stretch of the imagination. Instead of upscale amenities, it has some features my kids and I love, however. Their best feature, I think, is a small private island right off the beach that makes the waters between perfect for swimming. They also have good food options and holding the IHG Rewards Club Select credit card qualifies you for Platinum Status with IHG Rewards. With Platinum status, you are more likely to get an upgrade to an oceanfront room or suite. In my experience, they are pretty good about honoring these upgrades.

If you’re looking for a higher-end all-inclusive resort to book with points, consider these options:

Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

These properties are actually right down the beach from the Holiday Inn in Montego Bay. For this upcoming spring break, we are splitting our stay between the Holiday Inn and the Hyatt Ziva. I used free nights from the Hyatt credit card and points transferred from Chase to cover free stays for us and my parents.

While the Hyatt Ziva is family-friendly, the Zilara property is for adults-only. I’ve heard great things about these properties, and I already know the stretch of beach they sit on is to-die-for. Both cost 25,000 points per night.

Hyatt Ziva and Zilara Cancun

Hyatt all-inclusive properties in Cancun work similarly to those in Rose Hall. They are both 25,000 points per night, and the Zilara property is for adults-only. These properties are extremely high-end, featuring expansive pools, a gorgeous beachfront, and superior dining options. Several readers have told me they thought the Hyatt Ziva Cancun was the best all-inclusive resort they’ve ever stayed at.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta

Hyatt also offers family-friendly all-inclusive options in both Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. As with all Hyatt all-inclusive properties, these are supposed to be higher end with exceptional dining options and rooms. You can book either for 20,000 points per night or free night certificates offered through the Hyatt credit card.

The Bottom Line

We’ve written about the best all-inclusive resorts you can book with points before, and obviously this list doesn’t include them all. Hilton offers an array of properties, as does Wyndham Rewards. Starwood Preferred Guest offers a few all-inclusive properties you can book with points, and IHG Rewards has some other Holiday Inn all-inclusive properties in Mexico.

If you’re angling for a trip that’s truly relaxing, don’t forget to consider which properties – including Hyatt all-inclusive properties – might fit the bill. Personally, I can’t wait to check out the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay next year.

What is your favorite Hyatt all-inclusive property? Why?
