Check Out CheapCaribbean’s Rum Tour, Bookable Now

As a travel writer, I focus most of my work on places I like to go. Specifically, I like to travel to the Caribbean and Europe. I also like to write about hotels and resorts and active experiences like hiking and diving.

And food. And alcohol. And fun places to party. Basically, I’ve molded my travel writing career around my hobbies.

That’s part of the reason I was excited to hear about CheapCaribbean.com’s new Rum Tour coming up next year. Basically, they’re going to take a bunch of people around in planes to drink a ton of rum on the Caribbean’s most beautiful islands.

I don’t know about you, but I think that sounds fun.

Here are the details, straight from CheapCaribbean.com:

  • What is it? On October 17, CheapCaribbean.com will launch its limited-time rum tour where travelers can experience some of the region’s most treasured and under-the-radar distilleries.
  • Where are travelers going? Your readers will be island hopping from Antigua to St. Kitts, and ending in Barbados on this tropical adventure. Travelers will enjoy top-notch accommodations at three of CheapCaribbean.com’s resorts with visits to distilleries including: Antigua Distillery Ltd.Clay Villa and Wingfield Estate and Mount Gay Rum Distillery.
  • Booking window dates: October 17- November 30, 2017
  • Consumer travel dates: April 26 – May 1, 2018

Originally, the tour was supposed to visit different islands, including St. Maarten. Since the region was tragically hit during hurricanes Irma and Maria, however, the itinerary changed somewhat. To help give back, CheapCaribbean.com is donating 20 percent of proceeds from the Rum Tour back to Tourism Cares. “The organization is dedicated to uniting the travel industry for the greater good, setting their focus on helping hurricane-affected destinations in the Caribbean,” they note.

How to Book this Rum Tour

This package is not cheap or frugal by any means, but it is all-inclusive and a great way to give back to the Caribbean, which is greatly reliant on tourism dollars – especially now. You’ll pay $4,999 per person to go, inclusive of airfare along with five nights of all-inclusive hotel accommodations and meals. You can book now through November 30, 2017 for travel between April 26th and May 1st of next year.

Only a handful of double occupancy packages are available, and it’s expected to book up quick. It’s also available to U.S. residents only, and you can book here.

The Bottom Line

All-inclusive food, fun, and rum on the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches? Does it get any better than that? I’ve never been to Antigua, but I will be there this upcoming January on a cruise. St. Kitts is amazing (so is Nevis), and Barbados is one of my favorite islands of all time.

If you love rum, beaches, and all-inclusive fun and you have $5,000 to spare, you can’t go wrong.
