How Was Your IHG Accelerate Offer This Time Around?

IHG is keeping their quarterly Accelerate promotions coming in Q2 of 2018 with another gamified promotion. As usual, everyone’s promotions are somewhat different and may be able to be completed in just a few nights to earn a bunch of IHG points!

I can’t share with you all of the variations of the promotion this time around, but I will tell you what mine is, how many nights I could complete it in, and whether or not I plan to.

All stays must be between May 1, 2018 and July 31, 2018 in order to count toward this promotion.

Here’s my offer:

1. Stay Once, Earn 2,000 Bonus Points
2. Stay 9 Nights, Earn 18,000 Bonus Points
3. Stay 2 Times in Europe, Greater China, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, Earn 12,000 Bonus Points
4. Spend On Your IHG Club Credit Card, Earn 1,500 Bonus Points
5. Redeem Points for Anything, Earn 1,000 Bonus Points
6. Complete 4/5 Offers Above, Earn 8,300 Bonus Points
7. Stay Once in May, Earn 2,000 Bonus Points
8. Stay Once at InterContinental, Hotel Indigo, or Even Brands, Earn 1,500 Bonus Points

This accelerate offer isn’t as good as some of my recent one have been, but considering how much I travel it’s still not too bad. If I had a trip planned to Europe, Greater China, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, or Africa in this timeframe (requirement #3), I would only ned to have two one-night stays in order to earn the majority of the points for this promotion.

I am actually heading to Europe and the Middle East during that timeframe, but it’s with a group of friends and I’m not exactly sure what our plans are. Otherwise, I need to stay at least 9 nights (requirement #2) to earn the majority of the points for the promotion.

I already have a stay booked (#1) in May (#7) that I’ll pay for with my IHG credit card (#4), so I’ll be decently on my way toward completing some of these requirements. I also have one more night booked in the US and am considering some IHG hotels for other stays that I have not yet booked. The two that I have booked already mean that I’ll be seven nights away from completely requirement #2, which is likely the most difficult to complete.

I’m not quite ready to call whether I’ll complete this promotion for sure, but I think it’s pretty likely that I’ll have enough chances to stay at IHG hotels that it will be worth it.
